For over 10 years, our staff have obsessed over how to help schools to succeed with digital learning. As qualified teachers, teacher trainers, and through a variety of other hats, we have continued to evolve what we do to a point where 87% of teachers say we improve learning standards in their classroom.
We know that for digital learning to succeed that it can never add to teacher workload, that’s why we obsess over reducing teacher workload too - our June ‘24 survey showed that Olus reduces planning time by 85%.
Why is Olus training different?

Reinforce to Reduce Workload
Double down with our virtual teacher
Why not include our virtual Olus teacher in every classroom in your school, letting the student learn the basics while teachers reinforce the skills learned in a seamless, stress free way.
Why reinforce? In a study by the NTL Institute, 5% of people retained information from training session when they simply consumed the training, but 90% retained the information when they taught it themselves. Let our virtual teacher take the heavy lifting out of teaching it immediately yourself.

Super Student Projects
For a truly creative Canva classroom!
To understand the real power of Canva in your school, you need to get the students building projects. The flexibility of Canva enables students to express themselves and demonstrate understanding in ways not possible with any other app.
We’ll look at some great starting points for your students with your school’s specific needs in mind. Whether it be creating resources for an entrepreneur programme, exciting presentations, infographics or another learning area - we’ve got you covered.

Collaborate with Canva
Unleash the collaborative power of Canva at your school
The ability to collaborate and share in real time is one of the most powerful elements in Canva. We’ll look at using Canva whiteboards to collaborate as a whole class, organise class activities with the AI tool in whiteboards, and collaborate in small groups.
We’ll also look at how students can collaborate on other project types and use Canva’s comment tool to communicate with each other and/or the teacher for when they’re not working beside each other.

Very Visual
Use animation and video for process explaining, nonfiction, original fiction storytelling.
Visual storytelling is a great, accessible way for any learner to demonstrate understanding of a process. Imagine your students animating the water cycle and including explanatory notes, instead of writing an essay. What about recording themselves as they animate a process (e.g. fractions) in real time.
Of course, video and animation can also be used for bringing original or other authors’ works of fiction to life. The promise of making a project like this is a great motivator for the writing and rehearsal of expressive voice processes.

UDL and assessment with Canva
Build personalised, flexible materials. Allow students to complete a project in their chosen medium.
With Canva, it’s easy to implement Universal Design for Learning (UDL) to build resources that are personalised and tailored for different learners in your class. The flexibility of Canva enables teachers to design templates and resources
When it comes to assessment, Canva allows for incredible flexibility when creating resources. You can create assessment for learning opportunities that includes great transparency and choice for the students - so they are clear on what they have to do and how they are being permitted to do it.
